Meet Jennifer Bumpus

Jennifer Bumpus is a dedicated community leader, experienced business owner, and passionate advocate for families in the 12th District. As the oldest daughter of four children, Jennifer's hardworking and resilient spirit is deeply rooted in her family history. Her mother, originally from Mexico, and her father, from El Salvador, worked tirelessly to build a better life for their children. They owned several businesses and contributed positively to the community, instilling in Jennifer the values of hard work, perseverance, and community service.

With over 20 years of involvement in the Monroe community, Jennifer has consistently demonstrated her commitment to transparency, accountability, and fiscal responsibility. As President of the Monroe School Board, she has championed initiatives that prioritize student safety, academic achievement, and strong family partnerships. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Washington State University, where she focused on communication, political science, and philosophy.

In addition to her role in education, Jennifer is a successful local business owner and member of various community organizations, including the Monroe Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, and The Rock Church. She also contributes to youth development through the Elite Training Academy and supports fitness and wellness at Hourglass Fitness. Jennifer's diverse background and deep roots in the community uniquely position her to understand and address the challenges faced by working families.

Jennifer is also a devoted mother to three children and has been happily married to her husband, Michael Bumpus, for over 14 years. As your next State Representative, she is committed to enhancing public safety, fostering economic growth, and ensuring educational excellence. Jennifer is eager to learn from and listen to community members, working together to create a more secure, prosperous, and vibrant future for all.
